Some of my favorite things about Cedarbrook are the traditions we share: the songs, the bird names, and the familiar routines that help camp feel like home. I love watching new campers become part of that community and returning campers eagerly share it with them.
Those traditions matter because of what they help us build: a place where girls belong, grow, and encounter the love of Christ. He is the foundation of Cedarbrook’s identity and mission, and that foundation continues to guide us as we plan for next summer.
With that in mind, we’re making three changes for 2027:
Six weeks of camper sessions. We’ll begin camper sessions one week later and offer six weeks instead of seven. With lower enrollment in our opening week last summer, school calendars, and staff availability, this schedule will help us focus our people and resources where they can best serve campers.
Three camper divisions. Our divisions will be Trailblazers (grades 2–5), Challengers (grades 6–8), and Explorers (grades 9–11). Bringing campers together in three divisions will allow us to support each age group with larger staff teams and more counselors working together.
Father/Daughter Weekend will return to the end of summer. This gives us more time for staff training before camper sessions begin, and we hope the timing will work well for dads and daughters to enjoy camp together.
One of my ongoing prayers for our year-round team is that God would give us wisdom to steward Cedarbrook well. We have been entrusted with a beautiful property, a rich legacy, dedicated staff, and the opportunity to minister to girls and their families.
As we look toward Cedarbrook’s future, we also consider what each summer needs. We believe these adjustments will help us care well for campers and staff in 2027 while continuing the ministry we love.
Thank you for praying with us as we prepare for another summer of helping girls grow in confidence, friendship, and faith.
