Happy Thanksgiving Season!
This is one of my favorite times of year. I love that Thanksgiving gives us space to pause, reflect, and practice gratitude—without the pressure and expectations that often accompany Christmas.
Recently, I was reading in my prayer book about sin (never an easy topic). It said, “Sin is not the breaking of a law or commandment as much as it is a lack of gratitude… If our hearts could truly grasp what God is doing for us, how could we sin? We would be too grateful to sin.”
That perspective stopped me in my tracks. I had never considered that connection between gratitude and holiness, and it has challenged me to intentionally cultivate a more grateful heart.
At Camp Cedarbrook, we are deeply grateful for our family of supporters—people like you who pray, give, and champion our mission. Your faithfulness allows campers to encounter Christ in creation year after year. Please be on the lookout for our year-end letter and financial report arriving in the coming weeks. Your generosity truly makes a difference.
We are also giving thanks for the staff who have already applied for 2026—14 and counting!—and for the wonderful new team members God will bring. If you know someone who would be a great fit for our counselor or support staff positions, we would love to meet them.
And finally, I’m thankful for our incredible campers and the joy they bring to camp each summer. We can’t wait to welcome both returning campers and new friends in 2026. Registration opens December 1!
