Yes…summer really is right around the corner.
I reach this point every year when a bit of panic starts to creep in:
How many counselors did we have at this point last year?
Do we have enough scholarship funds?
Should we change the entire menu?
In those moments, I have to remind myself daily that God is God—and I am not. He has established this camp and its mission, and He will accomplish His good work. I simply get to be a small part of it.
In a world that runs on scarcity, pressure, and anxiety, I’m reminded that God’s kingdom is different. He is enough, and He is able to multiply our efforts. I was especially encouraged by a recent blog post that included this quote:
“What if, instead of hoping for God’s provision somewhere out there in the future, we dared to believe that God has already supplied enough for what He is asking of us today—in every area of life and ministry?”
Cedarbrook still has needs. The work isn’t finished. And it may not turn out exactly the way I would plan—but God is enough, and He has already supplied what is needed.
Thank you for your continued support of Cedarbrook and for partnering with us as we reach girls for Jesus this summer. You’ll find specific ways to support us—especially through our 40 Days of Prayer—below.
In Christ,
