What’s been happening at Camp Cedarbrook in June? Oh, so much!
Pre-camp is an intensive two-week training for all new and returning staff members. During this time, all staff members get certified or re-certified in CPR and First Aid (American Red Cross). Some get certified to be lifeguards or Water Safety Instructors. Everyone helps to get the site ready for campers, and they attend workshops on child safety and other important topics. Staff members also get training in specific activities, Bible Ex, camp games, and, of course, songfests.
In short, Camp Cedarbrook staff members have been hard at work!
Of course, there’s always time for fun:
If you’re a fan of the Nature Nest, you will absolutely love the new renovations. Thanks to Dave Westerman (Adelle’s Dad) for all of his hard work!
The CILT IIs arrived on Sunday, June 26, and they have already left for their wilderness trip! We wish them all the best as they hike and canoe through the Adirondacks. You can read more about the CILT program here on our website, and you can read about a former CILT’s experiences here.
Last, but certainly not least, we’ve had Parent-Daughter sessions!
We’re so excited for Week 1 to start on Sunday!
