Summer 2019 was epic! We are so thankful for everyone who was able to experience God’s ministry at Camp Cedarbrook, from the campers to staff, volunteers, parents, alumni, and everyone following on social media.
God is very much at work through the summer camp experience, and we are privileged to be a part of it! Here are some highlights:
- 97 new summer campers
- 73 new parent/daughter campers
- 8 LEADS (formerly CILT 1)
- 8 CILTs who all graduated and joined staff
- 15 girls accepted Christ
- 70 amazing staff members and volunteers!
We hosted awesome groups for Mother/Daughter and Father/Daughter retreats. In addition, we had our Alumni Weekend, with former director Nancy “Wally” Halliday as our speaker.
If you followed us at all this spring, you know that achieving a full staff team was a challenge up until the last minute. This is not a unique problem to Cedarbrook but is a trend industry-wide. We are so thankful for the staff and volunteers that God provided and their diligent work this summer to provide an amazing camp experience. During most weeks, we were at capacity for the number of counselors we had, and we are already starting to strategize and plan for hiring next summer’s staff.
Please keep us in your prayers as we plan and prepare for another summer of reaching girls for Jesus in 2020!
